Robert Skelton is a recent graduate at Samford University, receiving a BA in Theatre. He has been an active playwright in his college and local community, having produced several shows over the course of his Senior year. His first play - The Bridge of Magpies - was produced October 3-4, 2018 as part of Samford Underground's Theatre Season. He has since tried his hand at bookwriting, signing on to write the script for a new musical, Corinna and The Enchantress, which had its first staged reading November 8, 2018. Robert Skelton has also amassed a collection of Ten Minute Plays. One of these Ten Minutes (Horatio Alger) was produced as part of Samford's Ten Minute Play Festival, making it the first piece of original work ever accepted into the festival. Robert also secured a position as a Teacher Assistant for the Playwriting 101 in his Spring Semester, 2019.
Robert is also an actor, who's favorite roles include: Chip (On The Town), Gryff (Sleeping Beauty), Colin Syme (The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart), George Tesman (Hedda Gabler), and Michael Waterman (Fiction).
